About

Benjamin Graham wrote in the Intelligent Investor that “Investment is most intelligent when it is most businesslike.”  Who am I to doubt the Dean of Wall Street? I will treat investing as my business.

I was fascinated by the financial markets since I was a little boy. I even made it my profession. (I am a trader.) I have looked at very diverse investing and trading approaches. I have studied technical analysis, trend following, factor investing, quantitative investing, arbitrage, you name it. But nothing ever struck me as a complete framework that made sense. Five years ago, I stumbled upon value investing and was immediately captivated. It made sense. Since then I have read about every book written about value investing and slowly created my own investing framework.

So what will I do with this blog? I will use it to structure my thoughts, document my decisions and evaluate them after the facts come in. More concretely, I have opened a separate account with my broker and will be depositing 1,000 USD every week. This account will be as close to fully invested as possible and every decision will be fully documented.
